The light came in sideways through the tall windows this morning, that pale north European gold that makes everything feel borrowed from a dream. I made coffee and sat on the wooden floor with no particular place to be — just the quiet hum of the city waking up outside, my coat still warm from sleep, the day stretching out like a held breath. There's something about Sundays that feel like they're only for me, untouchable and slow.
